There’s A Wedding Ring On My Finger,
It’s only a small piece of gold.
It’s been through a lot,
But look what I’ve got,
Your love, dear, to have and to hold.

Sometimes, when I’m cookin’ dinner
I think how it all used to be
With four dinner places and four hungry faces,
But now, it’s just you and me.

The backyard, it used to be busy
With washin’ and pickin’ up toys.
But now, we spend hours
Just tendin’ the flowers
And I kind of miss all the noise.

There’s A Wedding Ring On My Finger,
It’s only a small piece of gold.
It’s been through a lot,
But look what I’ve got,
Your love, dear, to have and to hold.

I was doin’ some chores and some cleaning,
And yesterday brought a surprise.
I found quite a mixture
Of dear family pictures,
The memories brought tears to my eyes.

And there, in the drawer
Was a jewel box.
It didn’t hold rubies or pearls.
But it once held a treasure,
A beautiful treasure,
My favorite thing in this world.

There’s A Wedding Ring On My Finger,
It’s only a small piece of gold.
Oh, it’s been through a lot,
But look what I’ve got,
Your love, dear, to have and to hold.
Your love, dear, to have and to hold.
